Hi Jim
Just followed your details from the Teachmeet wiki.
Great to see another geographer there.
I have been blogging since 2003 at my GeoBlogs page, part of my GeographyPages website.
Been up to SAGT for the last 3 years - maybe you attended one of my sessions ? - and coming up again in October.
Very keen on Flickr and blogged about it lots http://geographyjazz.blogspot.com
Just started as Curriculum Development Leader for the Geographical Association after 20 years of teaching. Blogging my work there at http://livinggeography.blogspot.com
There may be some items of interest to you...
See you at Teachmeet
Best wishes

Hi Jim,

Have you considered using midi files for practice of the 2 Part Inventions? Try http://www.bachcentral.com/midiindexcomplete.html - it might make "hands separately" practice a bit more meaningful. In the case of the quick ones, there are various programs in which you can slow them down when first trying out a new one (just give me a shout if you need any further pointers on this). Enjoy your holidays!

Hi Doug,
great to see you are interested in music too. Maybe we can to a duet using social medi technologies... No seriously, I studied piano and trumpet at University then decided to keep my music as a hobby. This might explain why I do a ot of podcasting with the children and encourage the use of voice rather than text. Look forward to reading about your new post.
