  1. I think this image depicts a very bad picture of Manaus becuase people looking at the image think that Manuas is a poor marsh area when there are probably more wealthy areas. I think the image makes Manaus look cheep and run down. From this picture alone i would not want to visit Manuas!

  2. I am intererested you say that this particular picture presents a bad image. We tend to judge a place by a few carefully selected views which may not be truly accurate or representative. What I’d like to know is, why do think this photo presents a “bad image”, ie if you are looking ways to develop your writing, select a couple of examples that prove your point.
Can you direct me to a “better” image of Manaus?

  3. I don’t believe that this picture presents a realistic view of what all of Manaus looks like. I think it shows a realistic picture of what some of the poorer parts look like – we can tell it is poor as the boats and houses are falling apart and alot of the land is not very nice, most of it is quite marshy and boggy. I think that there should also be a picture of wealthier parts of Manaus, see:
http://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/photo-s/00/1b/43/07/view-of-manaus.jpg, because this would then give a clearer view of the different parts of the Amazon. Showing the differences in lifestyles and wealth in Manaus, Arizona.
